Dyna|spheres® Pool Unity 572 WPA Heyball Balls – Phenolic Resin

A Historic First. Since its founding in 1987, the World Pool-Billiard Association has been the international governing body for pool and billiards — setting the rules, sanctioning world championships, and defining global standards for the sport. In its entire history, the WPA has never released an official product. The Unity 572 changes that. This is the WPA’s debut as a product innovator, and the significance of that decision is not incidental. The governing body of world pool chose Heyball — and chose this set — as the product worthy of bearing their name for the first time. For operators and serious players alike, that endorsement carries weight that no marketing claim can replicate.

Philosophy and Design. The Unity 572 is built around an idea before it is built around a specification. Conceived by billiard aficionado Jorgen Sandman — with its intellectual property now held by the WPA — the set draws on the ancient Chinese principle of Yin and Yang: harmony, balance, and the coexistence of opposites. The pink balls carry blue numerals; the blue balls carry pink numerals. Each group contains the mark of the other. As Sandman describes it: “From the beginning, the goal was to create something with depth and meaning — more than just equipment. The UNITY Ball Set embodies a centuries-old Chinese philosophy in a way that speaks to the modern game. It’s a tribute to balance, artistry, and the forward momentum of our sport.”

Performance and Precision. The Unity 572 is manufactured to exacting standards: 57.2mm diameter, 169g ±1.0g, roundness held to ≤0.03mm, and hardness rated at ≥59 Rockwell E. The phenolic resin construction delivers the consistency and durability serious venue use demands. The solid-colour format reduces visual fatigue during extended sessions and sharpens strategic clarity after the break — two groups that are instantly distinguishable, numbered symmetrically 1 through 7, with the contrast between pink and blue making the table readable at a glance for both players and spectators.

The Commercial Case. For pool clubs, leisure venues, and amusement operators, the Unity 572 offers something genuinely distinctive: a premium game format backed by the authority of the sport’s governing body. Heyball is a structured, symmetrical format — easy for new players to learn, compelling for experienced ones to master. Offering it positions your venue ahead of competitors still running standard eight-ball only. The WPA credentials give your offering a story worth telling. As WPA President Ishaun Singh states: “The UNITY set is more than an innovation in design — it is a reflection of the WPA’s broader vision. We are committed to honoring the heritage of the game while actively shaping its future.”
